With over 25 years of experience in mental health and social work, Allen Kerrie Gholston brings extensive expertise, compassion, and leadership to his work as a therapist. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Tennessee and Mississippi and a Board Certified Diplomate, Allen is EMDR-trained and proficient in evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness practices, and motivational interviewing.
He has dedicated his career to supporting individuals and families facing challenges related to mental health, trauma, and substance use, helping clients build resilience and achieve long-term recovery.
Throughout his career, Allen has served in diverse roles, including inpatient psychiatric care at the VA Medical Center, crisis intervention leadership at Alliance Healthcare Services, and outpatient therapy with organizations like Connections Wellness Group and BetterHelp.
He has also played a key role in mentoring clinicians, leading multidisciplinary teams, and securing grant funding to expand access to behavioral health services. Allen earned his Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and completed doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at Northcentral University, reflecting his lifelong commitment to learning and clinical excellence.
