With over 25 years of combined experience in psychology, nursing, and education, Amy L. Morris brings deep clinical expertise and compassionate care to her work as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Amy holds advanced degrees in both nursing and psychology, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology and dual master’s degrees — one as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University and another as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Amy’s diverse clinical background spans inpatient psychiatric care, rural health, and correctional medicine. She has served as a PMHNP at South Mississippi State Hospital, a Family Nurse Practitioner with the Southeast Mississippi Rural Health Initiative, and has provided care within the Federal Bureau of Prisons system. In addition, she has experience as an Exceptional Education Teacher, reflecting her dedication to supporting individuals across all stages of life and ability levels.
Throughout her career, Amy has demonstrated a commitment to evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
