Jessica Lewis, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Jessica Lewis is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with extensive experience in both acute and chronic mental health care. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Southern Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women. Jessica has provided compassionate, culturally sensitive care in a wide range of clinical environments, including inpatient psychiatric units, emergency departments, and geriatric-psych settings.

Currently practicing at East Mississippi State Hospital, Jessica specializes in the treatment of patients with complex mental health conditions, crisis intervention, and psychotropic medication management. Her doctoral project focused on pharmacogenetic testing in psychiatric care and is published through the University of Southern Mississippi.

Jessica is actively expanding her expertise by pursuing a Post-Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate, with expected completion in December 2025. She is a member of the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to advancing holistic mental health care in underserved communities.
