About the Assessment
The PHQ-9 is a self-administered questionnaire designed to measure and monitor the severity of depression. This screening tool is not designed to make a diagnosis of depression but to be shared with your primary care physician or mental health professional to inform further conversations about diagnosis and treatment. Clinically, the PHQ-9 is used to monitor the severity of a patient’s depression and/or a patient’s response to treatment.
PHQ-9 and TMS Treatment
If you score a 15 or higher (moderate-severe depression) on the PHQ-9 questionnaire, then TMS treatment may be right for you. TMS is a safe and effective non-medication treatment for depression. It’s FDA-cleared, covered by most insurance plans and has minimal side effects.
